Scharffen Berger Natural & Sweetened Cocoa Powder Scharffen Berger’s natural cocoa powder is reddish in color and fruity in flavor. It is non-alkalized. (The alkalization process, which makes Dutch-processed cocoa, is usually very dark in color.) Our sweetened cocoa powder is made from our natural cocoa powder with cane sugar. The cane sugar sweetens the cocoa but allows the natural, fruity, chocolate-y flavor to come through in each cup. Available in:
