Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker Welcomes its New Manhattan Location

Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker is delighted to announce its newest location. Our Manhattan boutique opened with much celebration and plentiful hot chocolate in November 2004. In keeping with Scharffen Berger's classic traditions, the new store is much like an old-fashioned neighborhood candy shop. Located at 473 Amsterdam Avenue (between 82nd and 83rd Streets), the Upper West Side store features Scharffen Berger's brand new line of handmade Fresh Confections and the most complete selection of Scharffen Berger products on the East Coast, including chocolate bars, baking products, and gift boxes.

The store is Scharffen Berger's first on the East Coast. "We wanted to open a store in New York because New Yorkers have a great appetite for fine things," says John Scharffenberger. "Chocolate is an exceptional food that is not just a child's delight but also a luxury for adults to savor, much like fine wine."
