Q: Is your chocolate nut and dairy free?
A: Our 9.7 ounce and 6 ounce Home Baking Bars (99% cacao, 70%
cacao and 62% cacao) and our 2Kg chocolate propacks (99% cacao, 82% cacao,
70% cacao, and 62% cacao) are nut and dairy free. We manufacture these
chocolates in our Berkeley, CA facility. These items are also kosher and
pareve.
While we make the chocolate for all our items, we
may use other facilities to mold and wrap them. These facilities may also
process both nuts and dairy on the equipment we use, so we cannot guarantee
that all of our products are completely nut and dairy free. Our cocoa
powder is also packaged in an outside facility. You can check our product
labels to determine if there are products for which we cannot guarantee
the nut or dairy-free status.

Q: Is there gluten in chocolate?
A: No, there is no gluten in our chocolate. Gluten
is a mixture of plant proteins occurring in cereal grains, chiefly wheat,
rye and barley. Our chocolate ingredients: (cacao beans, sugar, vanilla
bean, cocoa butter, and soy lecithin as an emulsifier) do not contain
gluten. We also do not have any cereal grains present anywhere in our
manufacturing facility at any time. Please note that our Cocao Powder
and Sweetened Cocoa Powder are processed in a facility that handles
wheat products, and thus may contain traces of gluten.

Q: Is your chocolate Kosher and Pareve?
A: All of our chocolate is certified Kosher under
the rabbinical supervision of Orthodox Union (OU).
Our manufacturing facility in Berkeley is completely dairy free. Any of the products made and packaged here, such as our 9.7 ounce Home Baking Bars and our propacks, are Pareve. Our cocoa powder is also Pareve.
However, some of our products are wrapped off-site.
The machinery used to wrap our products is also used to wrap other products
which contain nuts and/or dairy. While these machines are cleaned before
our products are wrapped, we do not and cannot guarantee that there will
not be a trace amount of nuts and/or dairy in our product. These items
are certified Kosher OU- D, meaning they are made on equipment that also
handles dairy products.
The products NOT packaged in our facility include
all 1 oz. and 3 oz. bars, Cacao Nibs, and our panned and chocolate-covered
products. Please check our allergen information statement on our packaging
to verify.
