7 ounces Scharffen Berger semisweet dark chocolate baking portions
2 tablespoons Scharffen Berger unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/4 cups whole milk
3/4 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan on the stove top on medium heat. Whisk until all of the chocolate has melted and the hot chocolate is smooth in texture and hot, but not boiling. Serve in mugs with lightly sweetened whipped cream, chocolate curls, biscotti, or butter cookies. Serves 2.
